Engagement & Family shoot!
Your test drive with Phil Endicott as your wedding photographer!
I always like to start our relationship with you by doing an engagement shoot (or if appropriate a family shoot with you and your little ones).
It gives you the chance to get to know me, to know how I work and also how I’ll work with you as a couple and your family.

I’d always suggest doing the engagement shoot at an opposite season. For example if you’ve got a spring wedding your engagement photos would be with autumn leaves. It is basically a fantastic excuse to have some fun, go somewhere new or just to go to the city for photos!

If you do have little ones it’s arguably even more important again! For me I think it is vital that they’re used to me: I don’t want them to be scared and shy on the day. This really makes a massive difference in my experience. There is nothing more rewarding that having the most shy little one turn round and ask you to help with their colouring-in to know you’ve broken down that wall!

This is also your chance to make photographs you can use on your wedding day. In the past I’ve turned them into signing boards, invite cards, thank you cards, service orders, projection slideshows and placecards. Their use is limited only by your imagination.
This is just one element of my WHOLE philosophy of getting to know you all, and be your friend, not just your photographer. Knowing you, knowing them, and knowing why your wedding day is so important is crucial to me.
A vital piece of the puzzle
The engagement or family shoot really is a triple win: you get beautiful photos, you get to know me and how I take photos with you, and I get to know you all that little bit better so you feel super relaxed on your big day.
